Risk Assessment Audits

Risk Management

QUESTIONS…

Are you a small to mid-sized transport Operator who lacks the resources and personnel to undertake regular risk assessment initiatives?

Are you a National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) Operator who is uncertain whether your Management System/s will meet today’s Standards?

In relation to the Chain of Responsibility laws, are you in a defensible position to mitigate problematic areas?

At your next scheduled Compliance Audit, are you subconsciously concerned a series of non-conformances may be uncovered requiring Corrective Action to be taken within an unrealistic time-frame, or when work is at its busiest?

If you are an NHVAS accredited heavy vehicle Operator and answered “YES” to any one of the above questions, we recommend you undertake a Risk Assessment Audit whereby:

  • A full and comprehensive audit is conducted; yet, the findings contained in the Audit Summary Report remain private and confidential.  Under no circumstances will the findings be sent, disclosed, or transmitted to the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR);
  • General advice is discussed on how to manage and control identified risk areas within your management system/s;
  • Any non-conformances are highlighted thereby enabling suitable rectification;
  • Problematic areas are isolated that require strengthening; and
  • Opportunities for continuous improvement are identified.

At Lean Auditing Services, we are not in the business of assisting or developing your management system/s.  However, as independent professionals our objective is to enhance your management system/s through education; therefore, we can:

  • Provide objective candor;
  • Identify system weaknesses;
  • Recommend suitable corrective actions; and
  • Identify areas for improvement.

In layman terms, we can conduct a full and comprehensive “mock audit” of your management system/s.  A Risk Assessment Audit mimics a Compliance Audit.  Upon reviewing your system/s, we scrutinise and seek out evidence ensuring each criterion is satisfied.  The main difference is that the Risk Assessment Audit findings are not forwarded to a third-party (NHVR) and remain private and confidential.

As an example, you may wish to undertake a Risk Assessment Audit perhaps 12 months prior to your next scheduled NHVAS compliance audit.  This strategy enables you sufficient time to implement appropriate corrective actions in your own timeframe.  A Risk Assessment Audit gives you the flexibility to implement refinements that will ultimately ensures you have a more robust management system.

At Lean Auditing Services, we guarantee a reduced price for a Risk Assessment Audit in comparison to a Compliance Audit.
